Alrighty. Updates.

I played Humans Vs. Zombies earlier this month. It was so bad ass I can not possibly describe it to you. I made it through the entire week as a human. If you don't know what HvZ is, then let me tell you how HARD it is to make it through as a human if you play it right.

In other news. College. It is slowly killing me and draining my life force. Also I'm broke because I have to help my parents pay bills.

I also recently acquire a Giant African Millipede. Except his is a baby...so he's less than giant at the moment. On a sadder note one of my cockroaches Ludwig died. RIP Ludwig. You will be missed. Except by Kaia. She is happy you are gone and may or may not dance on your grave later.

I'll be on Thanksgiving Break starting after 5 next Monday. Not having classes Tuesdays really paid off this semester. Hopefully this means I can work on my Insect Collection and Beekeeping paper that I have due in December. Also I'll be doing some baking. Somewhere in between all that and talking to the boyfriend I might actually get some of my doodles posted. I might actually also get some art that takes ACTUAL effort put into it.

Anyway. I have other things I need to get doing. Mostly talking to my mom. So here's the Christmas thing.

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. Friends. It seems like a dumb wish, and you're all probably like "WTF you have friends." And you'd be right. I do have friends. But I never get to hang out with anybody, or no one wants to hang out with me. So I want people to want to hang out with me even though I have no way to really contact people as I have no phone, no car, and no license. And no money.

2. Money. Not for me, but for my family. As it is I'm having to take money out of my paychecks to help mom pay off some bills. Both my parents are unemployed and even $20 helps out at this point.

3. Barnes and Noble, and/or Borders gift cards. Seriously, I love books. I eat those fuckers up.

4. Someone to draw my dragons -->([link]). No one but me seems to show any interest in them, and part of me desperately wants someone to see them and go "hey that's a cool idea." It's kinda my dream for someone to do that.

5. The HvZ bandanna or Shirt. If you want to buy me this they can be found on the HvZ website on the link up there earlier in the journal.

6. A teleporter to Australia. I seriously watched Stardust the other night and almost died a little inside from not being with Olly. So I want to be able to be with Olly. I miss his hugs.

8. People to actually comment on my cosplay and art.

9. A 2 gallon aquarium. Only if you have a spare. I wanna get a tarantula, but if I can skip having to buy a tank by bumming one off someone that'll make it easier on me.

10. A big wish of mine right now is to get the last two classes on my schedule that I really want. AD 262 which is Jewelery and Metal Working and Dance 101 which is Modern Dance 1. It would make my schedule perfect.
